Everything you need to know about how BUCKS cashback works.
💡How It Works
BUCKS is a free browser extension for Amazon.com. Here's what happens when you shop:
- You browse Amazon normally. When you navigate to an eligible Amazon product, cart, or checkout page, the BUCKS extension automatically activates.
- We add an affiliate tag. BUCKS appends our Amazon Associates affiliate tag to your session. Your price is never affected — you pay exactly the same as you would without the extension.
- We may earn a small commission. If you complete a qualifying purchase, Amazon may pay us a commission from their standard affiliate program.
- A portion comes back to you as cashback. We share a portion of that commission with you, credited to your BUCKS account.
BUCKS operates under the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement. Commission rates vary by product category and are set entirely by Amazon.
📊Earnings Statuses — Estimated, Pending, Available
Your cashback moves through three stages. The timeline is governed by Amazon's affiliate processing schedule and cannot be accelerated by BUCKS.
Order detected and cashback amount calculated, but Amazon has not yet confirmed the commission. Estimated amounts are based on published Amazon Associates rates and may differ from the final payout.
Amazon has confirmed the commission from your purchase, but it's in a 30–90 day hold period. This is Amazon's standard processing window to account for returns and cancellations.
The commission has been fully confirmed and the hold period is complete. This amount is credited to your account and ready to be paid out.
⏱ Timeline note: The Estimated → Pending → Available progression is controlled entirely by Amazon's affiliate program. BUCKS cannot speed up this process. Typical total time from purchase to Available is 45–120 days.
❓Why Orders May Not Track
Not all purchases result in cashback. Common reasons an order may not appear in your BUCKS earnings:
- You used another affiliate link or coupon code after BUCKS activated — Amazon only credits one affiliate per order, and any later tag overwrites ours.
- The item was returned or the order was cancelled — Amazon reverses any commission for returned or cancelled orders.
- You were not on amazon.com — BUCKS currently only supports the US Amazon marketplace. Other Amazon country sites (amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, etc.) are not supported.
- The extension was disabled or not active during checkout — BUCKS must be active when you navigate to the product or add it to your cart.
- Amazon did not attribute the purchase to our affiliate tag — Amazon's attribution is not guaranteed. Technical factors (browser settings, ad blockers, or server-side rules) can occasionally prevent attribution.
- The product category is ineligible — some Amazon product categories pay $0 commission (e.g. Amazon Gift Cards, certain digital products). Orders in these categories will not generate cashback.

Payout status can be tracked in your dashboard. You will receive an email notification when a payout is processed.
