How we estimate your cashback
Here's exactly how BUCKS calculates the numbers you see on your dashboard โ no magic, no guesswork.
When you click through to Amazon with the BUCKS extension active, our browser extension appends an Amazon Associates tracking tag to the URL. This doesn't change your price โ you pay exactly what Amazon shows.
When your order is confirmed, Amazon notifies BUCKS through the Associates program. We receive the item's product category โ this is what we use to look up your estimated cashback rate.
Amazon publishes fixed commission rates by product category in their Associates Rate Card โ. We use these published rates to estimate your cashback. For example:
Amazon's return window means they don't pay commissions immediately. Your cashback sits in Pending status until the window closes and the commission is confirmed. If you return the item, the cashback is reversed.
Once confirmed, cashback moves to Available and is credited to your BUCKS balance. Reach $5.00 and request a payout โ we'll send it straight to your PayPal account.
๐ Status timeline at a glance
An early estimate based on published Amazon rates for the product category. The amount you see may be higher or lower than the final payout โ this is normal.
Amazon has confirmed your order. We're now waiting for the return window to close. If you return the item, the cashback is reversed at this stage.
The commission is finalized. Cashback is in your account. Once you reach the $5.00 minimum, you can request a payout to your PayPal any time.
